1. The short version

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The measurements you type are never sent to this site's server and are not stored anywhere after you close the page. We do not ask for or hold accounts, names, addresses or payment details.

2. What is collected

• Calculator inputs: nothing leaves your device. The arithmetic happens in JavaScript on the page you are looking at.
• Server logs: our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
• Analytics and advertising: third parties described below may set cookies or read device identifiers.

3. Cookies and third-party advertising

This site may display advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense. Where that is the case:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or read the Google advertising policy for details.
• To opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at once, visit aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.

We cannot read or control cookies set by third parties and have no access to the data they collect.

4. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where required, a consent notice is shown before non-essential cookies are set, and advertising is limited to non-personalised ads until consent is given. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that notice.

5. Visitors in California

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may treat certain ad identifiers as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; the opt-out links in section 3 stop personalised advertising.

6. Children

This site is aimed at adults doing home-improvement work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the opt-out links above. Blocking cookies does not affect the calculators, which need no cookies to work.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. Material changes will be noted on this page.
